
Cod fish is a lean low fat source of protein, it is low in calories, fat, and carbs. Cod is nutrient dense and contains omega-3 fatty acids. Cod is high in several B vitamins, which are good for cell and brain health. Cod is definitely a food that should form a part of your weight loss diet, and could be one of the fish you consume regularly.
Ingredients
- 3 pieces of cod (skin and bones removed)
- olive oil (3-4 table spoons)
- white flour (2 cups)
- 1 clove of garlic
- lemon juice
- parsley
Directions
- Using a kitchen towel, pat down the cod fillets to remove any moisture on the surface of the fish
- Put the flour in a flat plate and coat the cod on both sides with the flour
- Season both sides with salt and pepper
- Crush the garlic clove and mince into a paste together with some olive oil
- Place the cod under a hot grill and drizzle half of the garlic olive oil over the fish
- Flip the fish over after it gets golden brown
- Drizzle the remaining garlic olive oil over the cod, and add the lemon juice
- Once the other side of the cod is golden brown remove from the heat and sprinkle over the parsley and more lemon juice
- Serve warm with some season fresh salad
