Who is Melissa McCarthy? Melissa is a talented movie superstar, wife and mommy of two daughters. She is known to be one of the funniest comedians. She is 5 feet and 2 inches tall and weighed 80 kilograms (kgs) before slimming down. She is happily married to her childhood sweetheart, Ben Falcone. They have been together since 2005. Melissa McCarthy is also one of the most paid actresses in the world.

We can all agree that Melissa McCarthy is one of the funniest actresses around. She plays her roles impeccably and always manages to put a smile on anyone’s face. Most recently however, she has been stealing the whole world’s attention for a completely different reason.

Sounds fun right? Her thorough workout schedule also includes dumbbell squats, dumbbell walking lunges, rope skipping, rowing, bur-pees, machine chest presses and barbell dead-lifts.

For most of her life she had to deal with body shamers and although she has lost a lot of weight, she has always been quick to shut down such people down and she admits being a plus-sized actress in not easy. 

In an interview with Redbook Magazine McCarthy stated that “With women, there’s this constant weird cultural thing where we’re always supposed to be comparing ourselves with one another. Who wore it best? Whose butt’s better? Instead, how about if everyone wins? How intensely boring would it be if we were all the same?”

She also goes on to say that as long as everyone is healthy then the world should embrace them, no matter their body type. Hats off to that!
