
Turnips are a great food to add to your vegan and vegetarian healthy recipes. Turnips soak up alot of flavour and are so versatile to use.
Turnips are low in calories, rich in vitamins and minerals, and rich in fiber, making you feel fuller quicker, helping you lose weight more easily.
Ingredients
Red onion
Garlic
Red or yellow lentils
5 turnips
Directions
Soak the lentils in water for 1 hour
Dice up the turnips into cubes of roughly equal sizes
Cook the Red onion and garlic in the olive oil, add in the cumin seeds.
Add in the lentils and cook for another 5 minutes on a low heat
Add in the turnips and the tumeric and cook until ready
